2018 TVS Apache RTR 160

Apache RTR 160 - Bikes at Auto Expo 2018

TVS Motor Company is ready to give a new design to its popular Apache 160 for the Indian market. The company has already started testing the motorcycle in the country. This newly designed model shares most of its styling cues from the Apache RTR 200 4V, which was launched last year. It will be equipped with clear lens tail lamp, digital instrument console, new exhaust canister and fuel tank. Instead of dual-shock absorbers, the motorcycle will have monoshock rear suspension that should improve its handling. While the split seat offered on the 200cc bike, the Apache 160 will come with a single seat layout.

Mechanics of the new Apache 160 is likely to remain the same. It is powered by a 159.7cc engine coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine churns out 15.2bhp of maximum power and 13.1Nm of torque. Like the outgoing model, the facelift will also get rear disc brakes as option.

2018 TVS Apache RTR 180

TVS Apache RTR 180 - Bikes at Auto Expo 2018

Next model from TVS in the list of upcoming Bikes at Auto Expo 2018 is the updated TVS Apache RTR 180. Like the new Apache 160, TVS is also planning to give a major makeover to the Apache 180. The vehicle will share similar changes that will be offered on the smaller sibling. It will get clear lens headlamps, digital instrument console, monoshock rear suspension, new exhaust canister and fuel tank. It is expected to get both single and split seat arrangement.

Mechanics of the new Apache 180 is likely to remain unchanged. It will be powered by the same 177cc single-cylinder engine that is good for 17.30bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 15.50Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox. It will also get ABS system as optional.

Honda CBR300R

Set to replace the CBR 250R, the CBR300R is likely to share centre stage at upcoming new Honda Bikes at Auto Expo 2018. First unveiled at China International Motorcycle Trade exhibition in 2013, the Honda CBR300R could make its way to Indian market. It is basically a bigger version of the CBR 250R. It measures 2035mm in length, 720mm in width and 1120mm in height. The bike comes with 145mm in ground clearance. The bike features 110/70-17M/C and 140/70-17M/C tyres at the front and rear respectively. Design of the bike is inspired from higher CBR models and looks far more aggressive and edgy. The instrument console and handlebar is the same offered in the 250R.

It is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine that is paired to a six-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 30.4bhp of power and 27Nm of torque.

New Honda CBR650F

Honda had showcased the new CBR650F at the last year’s EICMA motor Show. It is expected that the new model could be launched at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The bike is powered by the same engine, but it has larger intake and exhaust system for improved performance. This engine is good for 89bhp of power and 62Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed gearbox.

The bike also has new 41mm Showa dual bending valve front forks and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. For safety and security, the bike has Nissin brake calipers with ABS as standard fitment.

Honda PCX 150

The next model to join our list of upcoming bikes at Auto Expo 2018 is the PCX 150. At the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, Honda had showcased the PCX 150 moto-scooter. The scooter is reportedly to be launched in the country in early 2018, probably at the Auto Expo 2018. The scooter features enahnced smart power, theft proof system and smart navigation. It will be powered by a 153cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC liquid-ooled PGM-FI unit paired to a V-Matic automatic gearbox.

Honda XRE 300

The Japanese two-wheeler maker is also planning to launch an adventure tourer to rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The company has already patented this motorcycle in India. This adventure bike is probably one of the most anticipated Honda bikes at Auto Expo 2018. It is powered by a 291.6cc fuel-injected single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 25.4bhp of power and 27.6Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox.

Likely to be launched in 2018, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 will share the podium with several upcoming Yamaha bikes at Auto Expo 2018. Already on sale in select Asian markets including Indonesia and Vietnam, the fully-faired motorcycle is now more powerful and fuel efficient. This entry-level sports bike gets comprehensive changes in the form of new sharper headlamps, fairing, fuel tank contours and others. The bike is based on the modified Delta Box with a new swing arm.

This fully-faired motorcycle is now powered by a new 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with SOHC technology. This engine is now capable of producing 19.3bhp of power and 14.7Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed gearbox.

New Yamaha R3

After banning of BSIII engines, Yamaha has discontinued its popular YZF-R3 fully-faired motorcycle from Indian market. The Japanese automaker is now planning to launch the updated model in the country, and a possible debut with other Yamaha bikes at Auto Expo 2018 can’t be ignored. Powering the bike is the same 321cc in-line twin-cylinder engine that is good for 42PS and 29.6Nm of torque. Suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of 41mm telescopic forks and a monoshock at the front and rear, respectively. The updated model has sharper and sportier design. It also has new graphics & stickers, which are inspired from the new Yamaha R6.

The long-awaited Xtreme 200S naked streetfighter is the next model to join our list of upcoming new Bikes at Auto Expo 2018. First unveiled at 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the 200S will take on the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 200NS and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. This naked streetfighter gets aggressive styling and features like edgy headlamp, sculpted fuel tank and LED headlamps and taillamps. The bike is claimed to have ‘Cheetah’-inspired design. Based on a diamond type frame, the motorcycle gets an air-cooled, single-cylinder 200cc engine that is good for 18.6PS and 17.2Nm of torque.

Hero HX250R

The production-spec HX250R fully-faired motorcycle will share the podium with other Hero bikes at Auto Expo 2018. The pre-production version of the bike was first unveiled at the last year’s edition of the motoring show. This new fully-faired sportsbike will be locally developed at the company’s Neemrana plant in Rajasthan. It will be the first bike to offer dual-riding modes in its league.

This fully-faired bike is powered by an all-new 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine that is good for 31bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the wheels via a 6-speed transmission, combined with a multi-plated wet clutch. While the Combi brake system will come as standard feature, the anti-lock braking system (ABS) could an optional offering.

The world’s largest bikemaker will also showcase its new 150cc scooter – Zir 150 – in the Indian market. First unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014, this sporty maxi scooter is expected to be launched at the Auto Expo 2018. Powering the scooter will be a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine that is capable of yielding 13.9bhp of power at 8,500rpm along with a peak torque of 12.7Nm at 7,000rpm. Feature list will include dual projector lamps with DRLs, step seat and LED winkers and tail-lamp, a digital analog console, etc.

The Japanese automaker could unveil the Gixxer 250 or Suzuki GSX 250R at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018. The bike was unveiled at the 2016 EICMA Motorcycle show in November 2016. This quarter-litre motorcycle is powered by a 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing 24.7bhp of power and 23.2Nm of torque. The bike is expected to be launched in the second half of 2018.

Based on the Suzuki Inazuma 250, the new adventure bike will rival against the upcoming Kawasaki Versys 250 and others in its league. This bike is powered by a 248cc, four-stroke liquid-cooled SOHC parallel twin engine that produces 25bhp of power and 23.40Nm of torque. BMW G310 GS - Bikes At Auto Expo 2018

After showcasing the G310R naked streetfighter, BMW Motorrad is planning to unveil its new adventure tourer – BMW G 310 GS – for the Indian market. First unveiled at the 2016 EICMA in Milan, the adventure bike will share centre stage with other BMW bikes at Auto Expo 2018. Based on the G 310R platform, the bike shares its design cues from the popular F 700GS. It is the third product jointly developed by BMW & TVS and will be produced at TVS Motor Company’s production unit in India. It will be powered by a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that also powers the G310R naked motorcycle. this powertrain churns out 34bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed gearbox.

BMW G310R

The long-awaited BMW G310R naked streetfighter is expected to be launched at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018. This motorcycle is the first product developed under the BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company’s joint venture. Production of the bike has already commenced at TVS’s Hosur plant in Bengaluru and the exports of the model have also started to the European and US markets. At the heart of G310R is a 313cc, single-cylinder water cooled engine that produces 34bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. Transmitting power to the wheels is a 6-speed gearbox.
