Benelli Imperiale 400 Gets Over 1200 Bookings In 10 Days

It’s been just 10 days the Benelli Imperiale 400 launched in the Indian market. According to a latest media report, the retro-style bike has received over 1,200 bookings so far. Official bookings for the vehicle were commenced in month of September and its deliveries begun from Diwali (27th October, 2019).

Priced at Rs 1.69 lakh, the new Benelli motorcycle takes directly on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 that costs Rs 1.54 lakh. It also lock horns with products like Jawa Forty-Two and Jawa Classic priced at Rs 1.64 lakh and Rs 1.73 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.

Powering the all-new Benelli Imperiale 400 is a 373.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC engine boosted with an electronic fuel injection system. The Italian bikemaker is now planning to expand the Benelli Imperiale 400 model lineup with new variants. The company is working on 5 to 6 new products that might make their way to India. Though, the India launch of the new Benelli motorcycles will depend on the market feedback.

Currently, Benelli has 26 dealerships across the country. It aims to increase the sales network with around 80-100 showrooms by the end of the next year. The production capacity of the company’s Hyderabad based facility stands at 20,000 units per annum. And the bikemaker is planning to increase it up to 40,000 as the demand raises.
