If launched in India, the Baojun 510 will take on Hyundai Creta.

In January 2019, MG Motor announced that its first product for India will be the Hector SUV. Scheduled to launch in June 2019, this premium 5-seater SUV will lock horns against the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and the newly-launched Tata Harrier. It seems that the British carmaker is also planning to foray into premium compact SUV space to challenge Hyundai Creta with Baojun 510.

The Baojun 510 SUV, which is already on sale in the Chinese market, recently spotted testing on Indian roads. For people not in the know, MG Motor and Baojun are the subsidiaries of Chinese state-owned automotive design and manufacturing company – SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. In global markets, the carmaker retail MG Hector as Baojun 530.
