The bikemaker also released official TVC of the new 2019 Bajaj Dominar motorcycle.

Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, has confirmed that the company will soon introduce a premium electric two-wheeler brand – Urbanite. The bikemaker might also bring in three-wheelers under the new Bajaj Urbanite brand sometime in 2020. The electric bikes and scooters manufactured under the new brand will carry a modern design language along with a pack of features and eco-friendly powertrain.

The new Bajaj Urbanite electric vehicles could be retailed via regular Bajaj dealerships or a dedicated sales network. There is no clarity whether the electric bikes or scooters will be based on the existing models or developed from scratch. The company will also export its new electrified models. At the press conference, Bajaj has also revealed its new brand identity as ‘The World’s Favourite Indian’. The bikemaker also released official TVC of the new 2019 Bajaj Dominar motorcycle that will go on sale in coming days. Select Bajaj dealers have already started take pre-order for the bike at a token of Rs 10,000.

For 2019 model year, the Baja Dominar will receive a new instrument cluster displaying service reminder, fuel consumption and fuel efficiency. The updated model will get inverted front forks instead of the telescopic units. The new Bajaj Dominar 2019 might get dual channel ABS as standard along with the regular 320mm disc upfront and 220mm disc rear brakes. Other highlights will include a new exhaust system and a beefier rear tyre hugger. No changes will be made to its engine.
