Bajaj-Triumph Bike To Get Touring Accessories – Launch Details

Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles entered into a non-equity partnership for developing and retailing midsize motorcycles in 2017. Now, the bikemakers are testing one of their upcoming bikes in the country. The latest spy images show the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph bike with touring accessories including a Triumph top-box, saddle bag and tail bag. The spotted model appears to be the scrambler variant of the bike featuring high front fender, knuckle guards and double barrel exhaust.

The model also has wire-spoke wheels that’s something we saw first time on the Bajaj-Triumph test mules. The previous spy pictures reveal that the new midsize bike from Bajaj and Triumph will share some its design elements with the Triumph Street Twin. It will carry a LED headlamp, flat handlebar, one-piece seat and sleek taillamp. The new mid-size bike will come with the luggage rack positioned on the left side at the rear. It will come with a rectangular shaped instrument cluster.

Talking about the engine, the new Bajaj-Triumph bike will use a sub-500cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It could be a 350cc unit with 4-valve and DOHC layout. The motor is expected to deliver power around 35PS – 38PS. The bike is likely to be equipped with alloy wheels shod with dual purpose tyres. Braking duties will be done by the front and rear disc brakes that could be borrowed from the current-generation KTM Dukes. The bike will have USB fork at the front and a gas charged monoshock suspension unit at the rear.

Once launched, the new scrambler bike from Bajaj-Triumph will take on the Yezdi Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 250. Its prices are likely to be around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). As far as launch is concerned, the new Bajaj-Triumph bike might hit our roads in the first half of 2023.
