Bajaj Auto, the homegrown two-wheeler maker has announced that it will launch the much-awaited Pulsar RS 200 aka Pulsar 200 SS in the country on March 26, 2015. Bajaj Auto dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the bike at a token amount of Rs. 5,000, while the deliveries are being promised in April. The Pulsar RS 200 is basically the re-branded Pulsar 200 SS, which has already been shown to world via different platforms.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is equipped with a 200cc, 4-valve engine with triple spark technology, which helps in attaining ideal engine speeds on high speeds. Sharing the engine with 200 NS, the Pulsar RS 200 is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is good for 24.4PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The engine is tweaked to develop 1PS more power and .3Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
If reports are to be believed, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) will be offered as standard on the Pulsar 200 RS. The top-spec variant will be equipped with a sensor on each wheel. The bike measures 2,060mm long, 750mm wide, 1,160mm tall and has a ground clearance of 165mm. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.10 lakh to Rs. 1.35 lakh.
