Bajaj Auto has unveiled an adventure edition of its popular 200cc motorcycle – Pulsar 200 NS – at the Istanbul Motor Show. This motorcycle is based on the fuel injected version of the Pulsar NS 200, which is already on sale in Indian market. The company has made subtle changes and adds some more features to give it a touring motorcycle look. It is quite early to comment whether this model will make its way to Indian market or not. Talking about changes, the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Adventure edition gets a metal mesh encased headlamp, engine guard and knuckle guard, and auxiliary lights, pannier stays, a luggage carrier and aluminium treatment for the headlights and radiator. Powering the motorcycle is a 200cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection. This engine is capable of producing 24bhp of power and 18.6Nm of torque. For braking, the motorcycle gets dual disc brakes along with ABS system. Suspension duties will be carried out by telescopic forks at the front and monoshock unit at the rear. It is expected that these features could be offered in the India-spec model, but as accessories. Previous media reports suggest that the homegrown automaker is working on an all-new adventure motorcycle for the Indian market. The new motorcycle is speculated to be based on the Dominar platform.
