Bajaj Auto, the homegrown automaker has an aggressive product strategy for the Indian market. The company is planning to launch at around 5-6 bikes in next six months including new Platina 110, Pulsar 160NS, Pulsar 200SS and updated Discover. Adding to it, the company will also launch the most powerful Pulsar 400 SS in the Indian market. If reports are to be believed, the fully faired sports bike will go on sale by July, 2015.

Unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show as concept, the Pulsar 400 SS is a sports bike that looks pretty aggressive and very busy. It will be powered by a 375cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, triple spar, fuel injected motor that is expected to produce around 41bhp of power and over 30Nm of top torque. This engine will be coupled to a 6-speed transmission to transfer power on roads.

The Pulsar 400 SS features huge fairing with several lines. The fuel tank is large and is likely to have a fuel capacity of around 14-15 litres. Based on an all-new chassis, the fully-faired bike shares design cues with the NS200. Unlike the front, the rear looks compact and has all-new tail lamps. It is equipped with features like analog tachometer, digital speedometer, Anti-Lock Braking system, etc. The fully faired Pulsar 400 SS motorcycle is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.6 lakh to Rs. 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
