Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the most anticipated bikes of the year- the Pulsar 200 SS in the country. Ahead of its official launch in coming weeks, the production version of the bike has been photographed in India. Though, the camouflaged version of the affordable sports bike has been spotted several times on the road.
The Pulsar 200 SS shares its design cues with the Pulsar 400 SS concept shown at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. The production-spec model features dual-projector headlamps, clip-on handle bars, short side-slung exhaust, new tank, etc. It is propelled by the same 199.6cc engine that also powers the Pulsar 200NS. This engine is capable of producing a top power output of 23.2bhp and a peak torque of 18.3Nm.
Interestingly, the spotted model features the ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System); however, the company also aiming to launch a non-ABS model of the 200 SS. This full fairing model is likely to be heavier than the 200 NS, and the company is expected to tune the engine to handle the extra weight.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.2 lakh to 1.5 lakh, and will be positioned above the Pulsar 200 NS.
