Despite being the top bike-maker of India, Bajaj never really ventured into motorsports. However, when it came to commemorating long due success party of Pulsar, the Indian bike maker decided to give it its own Roman “Triumph” with the “Bajaj Pulsar Festival of Speed”. The arena was previously left for KTM to claim, but Bajaj is entering the ring with India’s first speed biking festival. The festival is already in full swing since 5th of this month and it includes 42 races that are being held across six cities of India. Participations are open for all those who own Pulsars with 200cc and above engine configurations. Other than track races, the festival comprises of numerous fun activities like bicycle racing, music concerts, drinking and eating joints, Ghost Ryderz stunt group, dirt racing, skateboarding, accessory as well as gear shops.

The highlight of Bajaj Pulsar Festival of Speed is a special race organized by the company for RS200 owners. Once all races are done through all cities, the six winners will be picked from each city and will be taken to the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) where they will attend training sessions from professionals for track racing. The final 36 will then participate in the first Pulsar Cup which is due to take place on 16th April, 2016. The winner of the race will be awarded with Rs.1 lakh price money along with the Pulsar Cup. Cost of travel, stay, and training for all 36 people will be looked after by the company itself.

As per the Bajaj Auto’s VP of Marketing, Sumeet Narang, “Pulsar is the market leader in sports segment and it’s our endeavor to evolve the landscape and keep raising the bar of customer engagement.” Bajaj is looking forward to indulge some forty thousand biking enthusiasts across the nation. There are very few companies in India that are actively indulged in the motorsport arena, with Bajaj getting into the field, one can finally begin to hope that things will turn around for good in near future.
