Bajaj Auto has raised the price of its flagship motorcycle, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400. The motorcycle price has been increased by Rs 10,000, and it is now available at a price tag of Rs 1.90 lakh. The company has increased the prices of the Dominar 400 twice since it was launched earlier this year. THe bike was introduced at Rs 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The homegrown two-wheeler maker hasn’t shared the reason for the increase of the price. Despite the Rs 10,000 price hike, the Baja Dominar 400 is still the most affordable motorcycle in its category. Bajaj Dominar 400 Price

The Bajaj Dominar 400 price is now closer to popular motorcycles including the Honda CBR250R and the KTM Duke, which are priced at Rs 1.95 lakh and Rs 1.97 lakh respectively. On the other hand, the Yamaha FZ25 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250 are priced at Rs 1.37 lakh and Rs 1.60 lakh respectively.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar was launched earlier this year with more powerful engine. While the engine is the same 373.3cc, liquid-cooled unit, but it now gets dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) and higher compression ratio. And it now churns out 5 PS more power than the previous model at 40PS, thanks to the re-tuning done to ECU and a double-barrel exhaust. The torque figure remains unchanged at 35Nm, but the peak torque comes in a little early. The 6-speed transmission unit, however, continues to be there with a slipper clutch. And, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar finally gets upside down forks, and reworked rear monoshock, thus offering better ride quality.
