Dominar’s Non-ABS Variant Not Discontinued, Clarifies Bajaj

When it comes to sales contribution, the Bajaj Dominar non-ABS version accounts for 20%.

Recent reports on the internet suggest that Bajaj Dominar non-ABS variant was dropped from the lineup in the market. However, the company now clarified the status on it and have said that the Dominar 400 non-ABS variant is still on sale in Matt Black colour option. When it comes to sales contribution, the Bajaj Dominar non-ABS version accounts for 20%.

The official statement reads, “There have been some reports in the media about the discontinuation of Dominar 400 non ABS variant. Bajaj Auto would like to clarify that the Dominar 400 Non ABS variant is available and is supplied in Matt Black colour. The ABS variant of Dominar 400 is available in Matt Black, Canyon Red and Glacier Blue colour options. Bajaj’s flagship product Dominar is surely one of the most competent and powerful made-in-India motorcycles in India. The bike shares its powertrain with the KTM Duke 390 –i.e. 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled fuel injected unit. It’s basically a re-tuned version of the Duke 390’s engine, and it delivers a maximum output of 34.5bhp and a maximum torque of 35Nm. Besides a powerful engine and the motorcycle’s agile character, Bajaj Dominar also gets some interesting features such as mosaic-shaped full LED headlamp along with twin projectors, largest-in-its-class 320mm front disc brake, all LED instrument cluster, best-in-class 43mm telescopic front forks with dual spring monoshocks and slipper clutch make the Dominar one of the most loaded motorcycles in its category.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 Non –ABS and ABS variants cost Rs 1.44 lakh and Rs 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the former is available only in Matte Black shade, the latter one can be bought in three colour options – Canyon Red, Glacier Blue and Rock Matte Black.
