Bajaj Auto has introduced a new variant to the CT100 commuter lineup. The new Bajaj CT100 ES (electric start) Alloy variant sits on top of the range and priced at Rs 41,997 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Save for the electric start technology, the entire design and features of the bike remain unchanged. Mechanically, too, the new CT100 variant continues to use the regular powertrain. The Bajaj CT100 ES Alloy derives its power from a 99.27cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox. This motor can develop a maximum power output of 8bhp at 7,500rpm against 8.05Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The bike has an electronic speed limit of 90kmph. The new Bajaj CT100 variant is available with electric start and alloy wheels. The suspension setup of the bike includes hydraulic, telescopic tyre up front and trailing arm with co-axial hydraulic shock absorber and coil springs SNS rear unit. Similar to the regular model, the new ES Alloy version is available in three shades – Red, Black with Silver & Red decals and Black with Silver & Blue decals.
Proportionally, the CT100 measures 1,945mm in length, 770mm in width and 1,072mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,235mm. The bike carries a total weight of 108kg and offers a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 litres.
Talking about Bajaj’s future plan, the Pune-based bikemaker has confirmed that will bring in seven new products by the end of this year. The new models will come under its seven popular bands – Avenger, V, Dominar, Pulsar, Discover, Platina and CT.
