Bajaj Chetak Urbane Deliveries To Start In May
The iconic Bajaj Chetak scooter recently made a comeback in an all-new electric avatar. The scooter has been offered in the Urbane and Premium variants priced at Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The bikemaker has confirmed that the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter will be sold via KTM dealerships in Bengaluru and Pune.
Deliveries of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter are being promised to begin from February. Though, a fresh media report says that the deliveries of the Urbane variant have been delayed to May, 2020. While the Urbane model comes in sold colours with glossy finish, the Premium variant gets metallic paint and other design changes. The scooter will be sold under Bajaj’s new electric vehicle brand – Urbanite.
The neo-retro design of the new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter seems inspired by Vespa. It gets LED lighting all round along with alloy wheels, a full digital instrument console, keyless operations, disc/drum upfront and a drum brake. Check Out – List of Bajaj Chetak Dealerships Revealed
Engine setup of the new Bajaj Chetak includes a BLDC Bosch developed motor delivering 3.8kW of continuous power and 4.08kW of peak power against 16Nm of torque. The electric motor is paired to a non-removable IP67-rated 60.3Ah lithium-ion battery. The scooter offers a range of 95km in Eco mode and 85km in Sport mode.
