At the rear axle, it will feature the same mono-shock setup.

Bajaj Pulsar CS400 Rivals

Upon its launch, the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 will go up against the bikes like Benelli TNT 300 and KTM Duke 390. Though Bajaj’s motorcycle will be priced a lot more aggressively than all of its rivals.

Bajaj Pulsar CS400 Styling

The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 seems to have taken its styling inspiration from the Ducati Diavel. Though it will be a more compact, practical and affordable sports tourer to attract masses. This performance bike carries the 200NS silhouette, but is big in proportion. The slightly raked front fascia of the bike further enhances its overall aerodynamics. It also sports a large LED headlamp and well-designed front cowl with a sweptback visor. The tank contours have been borrowed from the old Bajaj NS 200.

Unlike the RS400, that features the clip-on handlebars, the Pulsar CS 400 gets a flat set handlebar. The new Bajaj 400cc motorcycle also features a split instrument cluster with two units, gear shift indicator with white backlight and LCD display on the fuel tank. What add more to its sporty appeal are the sculpted tanks and body cowls. Instead of sporty split seats, the Pulsar CS400 riders will have stepped saddle seat. The bike rides on a pair of large alloy wheels. The rear profile of the motorcycle, with signature Pulsar twin-slash LED taillights, shares strong resemblance with the Ducati Diavel.

Bajaj Pulsar CS400 Engine & Transmission

At the heart of the Pulsar CS400 will be a single-cylinder, 373.2cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection and triple spark technology. This is the same engine that powers the KTM Duke 390 & RC390. It will also be used for the upcoming RS400. This power mill will offer power close to 40bhp and 32Nm of torque. It will be capable to achieve a top speed of 175kmph. Transmission option on offer will be a 6-speed close-ratio manual unit.
