Bajaj Avenger cruiser range was launched previous year in a single colour option. Now, with an aim to appeal wider set of buyers, the bike maker has introduced two new colours on Avenger Street 150 and Street 220 motorcycles. While the former gets a new Cosmic Red shade, the latter one is now available in new Matte Wild Green colour along with the Matte Black shade. Save for the new paint schemes, the bikes remain unchanged.
Introducing the new colour range, Eric Vas, President – Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto said, “The Avenger is known for its world class styling and unbeatable comfort. The introduction of two unique new colours in The Avenger Street lifts the style of the Avenger to a new level in the motorcycle industry. We are confident that the introduction of Cosmic Red and Matte Wild Green will find immediate appeal amongst the fast growing Avenger fan-base across the country.”
Just so you know, the Pune-based bikemaker introduced Desert Gold (in May 2016) and Divine Black (in 2015) colour schemes on the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220. The Street and Cruise 220 models are powered by a 220cc single-cylinder engine, while the Street 150 comes fitted with a 149cc DTS-i engine that also do duty in the Pulsar 150. Transmitting power to the wheels is a 5-speed gearbox.
Since its launch in October 2015, the updated Bajaj Avenger models have been generating volumes for the company. In the first quarter of this fiscal year, (April – June, 2016), the company has sold over 56,000 units of the cruiser range in the country. It has an average monthly sales of over 15,000 units. Reports suggest that, the home-grown bikemaker will also introduce the Cosmic Red colour on the Avenger Cruise 220 as well.
