Avantura Choppers Launches Rudra and Pravega Bikes In India

While the Avantura Rudra is priced at Rs 23.9 lakh, the and the Avantura Pravega costs Rs 21.4 lakh (ex, Mumbai).

The Mumbai-based bike manufacturer, Avantura Choppers today launched two new bikes named – the Rudra and the Pravega – priced at Rs 23.9 lakh and Rs 21.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) respectively. While the bikes are currently undergoing homologation process, bookings are open for both the models.

Based in Mumbai, Avantura Choppers will produce these bikes at its manufacturing unit in Vasai, Mumbai. The production unit has an annual capacity of 200 bikes which means average time taken to roll out one bike is around one and a half days (barring the time taken for paint job). Read – Upcoming New Bikes At Auto Expo 2018

Both bikes draw power from the high-displacing 2032 V-Twin, air-cooled, oil-cooled, fuel injected engine sourced from S&S cycles. This is the same firm that builds performance parts for the Harley-Davidson engines. The actual power and torque figures are yet to be revealed by the company, albeit the models are said to offer 130PS and 180Nm at the crankshaft (the actual figures may vary).

In aesthetic terms, Rudra is more muscular, measuring 9.5 feet long with 38-degree rake and 4.2-inches of trail. It rides on the 23.0-inch front and a 20-inch rear machined wheels (from solid billet aluminium). The 130/60-section front and 280-40 section unit tyres have been sourced from the British based company, Avon. The Pravega on the other hand, is claimed to be a better handler accredit the sharper 34-degree rake and 4.5-inches of trail. Additionally, it sits on a smaller 2006mm wheelbase which is around 176mm shorter than Rudra. At front, it sports 20-inch wheels wrapped with a 120/70 R21 tyres and rear gets slightly smaller 18-inch rear wheels shod with 250/40 R18 Avon tyres. Common bits on both the models include Beringer brakes with six piston callipers on both wheels, LED turn signals from Kellerman, Germany and custom seats from Mustang. Both the bikes have same ground clearance of 150mm.

The company is also offering personalization options on the bikes and customers can get a 3D demonstration through a 3D program. The personalization range includes several colour options, graphics, headlamp, handlebars, wheels, rear fender and footpegs.
