Coming February 2016, we will witness Asia’s biggest auto Show – Auto Expo 2016 – in Delhi. With the dates getting closer, the excitement for the biennial event is getting higher as automobile enthusiasts across the country will get to see future products destined for India. In a recent article, we informed you about new cars that will make their way to our shores. Here’s a list of new bikes and scooters that could be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016.

New 100-110cc Bikes at Auto Expo 2016

New TVS Victor

Though the new TVS Victor has already been launched in the country this month, the company will put it on display at the Expo. Besides some cosmetic and graphic updates, the new TVS victor receives a 110cc, 3-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is equipped with the company’s Ecothrust technology. This engine belts out a maximum power of 9.86bhp and 9.4Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. (Read More Here..)

2016 Hero Super Splendor iSmart

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker in terms of volume, will unveil the new Super Splendor iSmart 125cc commuter at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Powering the bike is a 124.7cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is good for 8.99bhp of power and 10.35Nm of torque. It will be more fuel efficient that the current model. New 150cc to 200cc Bikes at Auto Expo 2016

Honda 160cc bike

Honda, the Japanese two-wheeler maker is reportedly working on an all-new 160cc bike, which will be positioned below the company’s recently launched Hornet 160R. The styling of the bike could be inspired from the Unicorn 160 and the Hornet 160R. Expected to be priced lower than the Unicorn 160, the Honda 160cc motorcycle will target budget conscious buyers looking for a slightly more powerful bike.

Yamaha M-Slaz

Also known as the MT-15, this Street fighter is based on Yamaha’s Delta Frame Chassis that also underpins the Yamaha R15. Named M-Slaz, the bike is likely to be unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show. It shares styling bits with bigger Yamaha naked motorcycles that include the MT-25, MT-03 and the MT-07. This street fighter will sit above the Yamaha FZ-S. Power for the bike comes from a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled motor that delivers 17bhp of power and 15Nm of torque.

Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0

If reports are to be believed, the Japanese automaker is working on the new generation R15 V3.0, which will share design bits with the MT-15. The bike will continue to feature the same Delta Frame Chassis, and will share resemblance with Yamaha’s R-Series bikes including R3 and the R1. It will continue to be powered by the same 17bhp, 149cc, liquid-cooled engine.

Suzuki Gixxer (Dual Disc)

Suzuki India is planning to introduce a dual-disc brake variant of its popular 150cc bike – the Gixxer. This new dual-disc equipped version has been spotted a couple of times, and media reports suggest that the bike could be unveiled at the 2016 Motor Show in Delhi. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

TVS Motor Company that recently launched the Apache RTR 200 4V in the country, will display this bike at the Auto Expo 2016. The new 200cc TVS Apache is available in two variants – Carburetor and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) – which are priced at Rs 88,900 and Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. While the latter already comes equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS), the carburetor model will get ABS at a later stage. We hope to see the ABS-equipped Carburetor model at the Expo. Apart from the Apache 200 and the new Victor, TVS Motor Company might also unveil the updated RTR 180 and the RTR 160 at the bi-annual auto event. The updated model could get new body graphics along with the new paint jobs.

New 250cc to 500cc Bikes at Auto Expo 2016

Seeing the growing demand for quarter litre bikes in India, Suzuki Motorcycle India is planning to bring-in an entry level 250cc bike in the country. Likely to be named GSX R250, the Gixxer 250cc is expected to make its India debut at the Delhi Auto Show 2016 in early February. The bike will face competition from multiple products like KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR 250R and the Yamaha YZF R3. Powering the bike could be a 250cc, single-cylinder engine that will produce an estimated power of 30bhp. (Read More Here..

The long-awaited CBR300R is likely to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, followed by the launch in second half of the year. Upon its launch in India, Honda CBR300R will take on the likes of KTM Duke 200, RC200 and others in the league. The bike will derive its power from a 286cc engine that is capable of producing 30bhp of power and 27Nm of torque.

After launching the CBR650F, the Japanese automaker is planning to bring in its 500cc performance bike at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. Power for the bike comes from a 471cc engine that is good for 47bhp of power and 43Nm of torque.

Yamaha MT-03

After introducing the YZF-R3 faired quarter litre bike, Yamaha Motor India is now planning to introduce the MT-03 Street fighter in the country. The Yamaha MT-03 will be powered by the same 321cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that is mated to a 6-speed transmission. UM Motorcycles will officially enter in the Indian automobile market by introducing three cruisers – Commando, Classic and Sport – that will be showcased at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show. The all-new Commando Renegade will be the first product to launch in the country, followed by the two other models. Hero MotoCorp, the homegrown two-wheeler maker will unveil the much-awaited HX250R bike at the Auto Expo 2016. Just so you know, the bike broke cover as a concept in 2014 at Auto Show. The HX250R is the first performance oriented bike manufactured by Hero after its separation from Honda. Power for the bike will come from an all-new 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is good for 31bhp and 26Nm of torque. The bike is powered by an all-new 300cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder water-cooled engine that belts out a 33.5bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. After receiving an excellent response for its performance oriented bikes, DSK Benelli is planning to introduce all its global products in the Indian market. At the coming Auto Expo 2016, the company will unveil the Tornado 302 which is a fully-faired version of the TNT 300. It is powered by a 300c engine that is good for 38bhp of power and 26.5Nm of torque.

High Performance Sports Bikes at Auto Expo 2016

Triumph Speed Triple 2016, Bonneville and updated Thruxton

Triumph Motorcycle India will introduce the updated version of its popular Speed Triple and the new Bonneville at the forthcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2016. Adding to it, the company will also unveil the updated Thruxton, which is nothing but a cafe racer version of the Bonneville. While the Bonneville and Thruxton will be priced around Rs 7 and Rs 8 lakh, respectively, the Speed Triple will cost around Rs 12 lakh.

Ducati 959 Panigale and XDiavel

Unveiled at the 2015 EICMA, the Ducati XDiavel “Power Cruiser” will make its India debut at the Delhi Motor Show 2016. Powering the bike is a 1262cc engine that puts out a maximum power of 156bhp and 129Nm of torque. Adding to it, the company will also showcase the 959 Panigale which is essentially a replacement for the 899 Panigale. It is powered by a 955cc engine that is good for 157bhp and 107.4Nm of torque.

Yamaha R1S and MT10

Not just MT-03, the Japanese automaker will also showcase the performance oriented MT-10 Streetfighter at this year’s Auto Expo. It is basically a naked version of the R1, and is powered by a 998cc crossplane engine that is expected to develop around 160bhp of power and 100Nm of torque. Adding to it, the company will also unveil the R1-S sports bike at the Delhi Auto Event. This bike will be more affordable than the regular R1. Though, it misses out on some features that are offered on later model.

Unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, the PCX 150 (motor scooter) is expected to be launched at the forthcoming Auto Show. Powering the scooter is a 153cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC, liquid-cooled, PGM-FI petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 13.4bhp of power and 14Nm of torque. In order to further strengthen its market presence, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India is planning to launch a range of scooters in the country. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker, is aiming to increase its market share by introducing a range of scooters in the country. The company could launch the Zir 150cc scooter at the Delhi Motor Show in February. To be positioned against Honda PCX 150, this scooter is powered by a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine that churns out 13.9bhp of power and 12.7Nm of torque. (Read More Here..)

Besides the Zir 150, the homegrown automaker is also likely to introduce the Hero Dare 125cc and Dash 110cc scooters at the Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi.
