The Audi S5 Sportback has been listed on the brand’s official website ahead of its India launch. It will be the 6th model from the German carmaker in the country this year. The four-door coupe will come to India via CBU route and is expected to cost over Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). Last month, Audi dropped the first teaser picture of the vehicle revealing some of its interesting elements. The four-door Coupe features a large single-frame grille with honeycomb pattern and Matrix design LED headlamps with LED (DRLs (daytime running lamps) at the front end. The headlamps have signature blue elements. The model comes fitted with the 19-inch 5-arm-pylon design alloy wheels. Its other design highlights include a sloping roofline, a panoramic sunroof, blacked-out ORVMs, pillar-less doors, LED taillamps and quad exhausts.
Inside, the S5 Sportback features a large 10.1-inch touchscreen featuring an all-new MIB 3 infotainment system. The new info unit is claimed to be ten time faster than the MIB 2 system. The feature list also includes three zone climate control, dynamic steering, ambient LED interior lighting, a 12.3-inch display with HD resolution, Audi connect packages, 19-speakers Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound and driver assistance system (adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist). For power, the new Audi S5 Sportback will use a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine paired to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. The gasoline motor has been tuned for generating power worth 349bhp and 500Nm of peak torque. The four-door coupe is capable to do 0 to 100kmph in about 4.5 seconds. It gets Quattro AWD (all-wheel-drive) system as standard fitment.
The new S5 Sportback comes with sport suspension for improved performance and optimized contact with the road. It gets the standard Audi drive select offering four modes – Comfort, Auto, Individual and Dynamic.
