Audi RS7 Performance Goes On Sale; Priced at Rs 1.6 Crore

Priced at Rs 1.6 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the Audi RS7 Performance is nearly Rs 20 lakh more expensive than the regular RS 7 Sportback.

Previewed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the Audi RS7 Performance has been finally rolled out in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.6 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi), this performance version is Rs 20 lakh (approx.) pricier than the regular RS 7 Sportback. The Audi RS7 Performance comes with subtle cosmetic changes and a tuned 4.0L twin-turbo petrol engine.

As mentioned above, the performance version of the RS7 houses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 TFSI petrol motor under the skin. Though, this powertrain gets a performance boost for generating 45bhp extra power. The torque output, too, has been improved by 50Nm. While the regular RS Sportback delivers 552.5bhp with 700Nm, the RS7 Performance churns out 605bhp and 750Nm. What makes it a more exciting machine is its improved grunt. The performance-oriented RS7 can hit 100kmph from standstill in 3.7 seconds. This makes it 0.2 seconds faster than standard RS7 Sportback. Visually, the Audi RS7 Performance departs a bit from the regular model. Up front, there’s a singleframe black honeycomb grille, matrix LED headlamps, air inlet with ‘Quattro’ badge. Audi has also lowered the ride height of this performance model. A few major changes have been reserved for the interior as well. The car receives leather and Alcantara upholstery, RS sport seats, aluminum and carbon fiber trim, new dashboard graphics, large driver-information display screen with Google Earth feature, improved telematics and Bang and Olufsen entertainment system.
