German luxury carmaker, Audi has launched a new base variant of the Q8 full-sized SUV in the Indian car market. Called as the Audi Q8 Celebration Edition, the new entry-level Q8 is priced at Rs 98.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The other two models in the Q8 line-up – the Q8 and the RS Q8 – priced at Rs 1.33 crore and Rs 2.07 crore respectively. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Q8 Celeration edition at the brand’s official dealerships or via the company website.
The Audi Q8 Celebration is equipped with high-end comfort and convenience features. In terms of features, this variant gets Audi virtual cockpit, touchscreen infotainment system with connected car applications and Audi Smartphone Interface, Audi Phone Box light with wireless charging, and Contous Ambient lighting. Other features include Audi music interface, a Panoramic Sunroof, Audi Pre-Sense, 8 airbags, etc.
Commenting on the introduction of new Audi Q8 Celebration Edition, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said, “Traditionally, the festive season has been a strong sales period for the auto industry and we are extremely happy to introduce an addition to the Q-family – the Audi Q8 Celebration. Since its very successful launch in January earlier this year, the Audi Q8 has received an overwhelming response and we are confident that with the Audi Q8 Celebration we will now be able to widen the appeal of this irresistible Q model.”
Powering the Audi Q8 is a 3.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 335bhp of power and 500Nm of torque. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Audi Quattro’s all-wheel-drive system. The SUV is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 5.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250kmph. The company had launched the performance oriented RS Q8 earlier this year. It is equipped with a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with a mild-hybrid system. This engine produces 591bhp of power and 800Nm of torque.
