Audi e-tron Variants, Range, Top Speed Revealed – Expected Prices

Audi India is ready to launch its first all-electric SUV – e-tron – on coming 22nd July. Official bookings have already opened across the country. Interested buyers can pre-book the vehicle online or at their nearest Audi dealership by paying an initial sum of Rs 5 lakh. Here, the Audi e-tron will be positioned against the Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace. Ahead of its launch, the German automaker revealed variant details and specifications of the electric SUV.

The model lineup will be available in two body styles – SUV and Sportback (with coupe-like rear) – and three variants – 50, 55 and 55 Sportback. The entry-level model (50) is likely to be priced around Rs 99 lakh, and the e-tron 55 and 55 Sportback might cost Rs 1.1 crore and Rs 1.2 crore respectively.

The e-tron, the upcoming 4-door electric SUV from the German carmaker, has been built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB (Modular Electrification Toolkit) platform. The MEB architecture has been designed exclusively for the small and medium electric vehicles and it’s compatible to the electric motors and lithium ion batteries of different sizes and capacities. The Audi e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 come with a 95kW battery pack and offer power worth 402bhp and 664Nm of torque. While the former delivers a top speed of 190kmph, the latter can attain a maximum speed of 200kmph. Both models offer a claimed range of 359-484km (WLTP combined).

For power, the e-tron 50 uses a 71kW battery delivering a maximum power of 308bhp and 540Nm of torque. It promises an electric range of 264-379km (WLTP combined). Audi’s new electric SUV can be charged via a standard 11kW AC home charger and up to 150kW DC charger. It gets dual motor AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.

Some of its key features including a platinum grey single-frame grille, Matrix LED headlamps, a 10.1-inch MMI infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four zone climate control, a Bang and Olufsen sound system, digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, electronic stability control, 8 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system and more.
