Audi e-tron SUV India Launch In 2021 – Key Features Explained

Audi e-tron, the first all-electric SUV from the German carmaker, might have its India debut sometime next year. The electric SUV has already been retailed in global markets. In fact, the carmaker managed to sell over 17,600 units of the e-tron in the first half of 2020. The company says that it has been closely monitoring the present ground level situation for electric vehicles. – Powertrain of the Audi e-tron includes two motors – a 125kW at the front and 140kW at the rear. Power is delivered to wheels via AWD (all-wheel-drive) system with a total of 408bhp and 664Nm.

– The full-electric SUV is claimed to do 100kmph from standstill in 5.5 seconds. It’s capable to offer a top speed of 200kmph. The e-tron also has a 95kWh battery pack that can be charged via regenerative braking technology.

– The e-tron can be charged up to 80 percent capacity in 30 minutes via a DC fast charger. It also supports home AC charger with either a 230V or a faster 400V system. – On the exterior, the Audi e-Tron SUV gets a sharp octagon-shaped front grille with flaps for air cooling, LED headlamps with Audi’s Matrix technology, a sloping roof-line, 20.5-inch spoke alloy wheel and an LED bar across the boot.

– The Launch Edition comes with a black styling pack for the Singleframe grille surround and window capping.

– Feature-wise, the new Audi electric SUV is a loaded machine. It offers premium Bang & Olufsen sound system, multiple touchscreens, several, power modes, regenerative braking, blind spot monitoring and many more goodies.

– The e-tron Launch Edition is packed with a 360 degree camera, a panoramic glass sunroof, privacy glass extending from the B-pillar rearwards, electric steering wheel adjustment, premium grade Valcona hide, a comfort remote preconditioning system and camera based traffic sign recognition.

– Measuring 4.9 meters in length, the Audi e-tron is longer than the Q5 SUV. The SUV offers a boot space of 660-litres that can be increased to 1,725-litres by folding the second-row seats.
