Audi e-tron – 3 Charging Options, Warranty & Service Plans Explained

Audi e-tron SUV and e-tron Sportback are ready to launch in India on 22nd July 2021. Ahead of their official arrival, the carmaker began taking pre-orders at a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. Recently, the company revealed that its first-ever electric SUV for India will be offered with three charging options including an 11kW compact charger (standard), an additional wallbox AC charger and 50kW DC fast chargers.

One must note that the DC fast chargers will be available at Audi’s key dealerships across the country in a phased manner. The carmaker is offering complimentary charging to early-bird customers through 2021 at its dealership with fast charging facility. The Audi e-tron buyers can locate the nearest charging stations on the ‘Chargers near me’ section of the ‘myAudi Connect’ app.

Audi e-tron Launch Date

The company is offering special service plans and extended warranty options for its upcoming electric SUV customers. The service plans range from 2 years to 5 years. Additionally, there is a comprehensive service plan available for either 4 years or 5 years. It includes periodic maintenance of brakes and suspension, cost of service and extended warranty.

The e-tron will be offered with a standard warranty of 2 years along with a high voltage battery warranty of 8 years/1,60,000km. Customers can also go for an extended warranty of 2+2 years or 2+3 years. The electric SUV will also be available with a buyback offer that assure a lucrative buyback price up to 3 years from the date of purchase, when customers decide to sell or upgrade their e-tron. Additionally, there will be complimentary 5 year Road Side Assistance service.

The Audi e-tron SUV and e-tron Sportback will feature two electric motors fitted on the front and rear axles. While the entry-level e-tron 50 will deliver power worth 313bhp and 540Nm of torque, the top-end e-tron 55 and Sportback 55 will make 408bhp with 664Nm.
