German luxury car manufacturer Audi is all set to launch the much-anticipated A3 sedan in the Indian car market. At the time of unveiling, the vehicle received an overwhelming response from critics and buyers. (Also Read : Everything you wanted to know about Audi A3 sedan).
If media reports to believe, the Audi India’s dealerships have received an excellent response for the A3 sedan from the prospective buyers. Moreover, the dealers have already asked the manufacturer to double the number of cars allocated to them. We strongly believe that this car could be the Audi’s bestselling car in the country.
The Audi A3 sedan will be offered in both petrol and diesel engines- 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel. Both the engines will be coupled to Audi’s S-Tronic dual clutch transmission which sends the power to the front wheels of the car.
The A3 sedan will be the company’s cheapest product in the country and is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 22-26 lakh. It is also expected that Audi might also launch the toned down version of this sedan, just like Audi Q3 S, which we expect to be priced around Rs. 20 lakh.
There will be no immediate competition for the Audi A3 sedan, which will give it a competitive edge. However, Mercedes-Benz is also planning to introduce the CLA sedan which is expected to make its Indian debut by early next year.
