Apple has confirmed that it is working on autonomous car and the testing of the Apple Car will soon begin in California.

After capturing the smartphone market with its trendsetting handsets, the American based multinational technology giant, Apple is gearing up for another venture. While the global market was abuzz with Apple’s plans to develop a vehicle, the top officials recently confirmed the development as suggested by reports in media. Apple is ostensibly working on autonomous vehicles and has put executives on work for the development of upcoming products. In the recent past many companies like Ford, GM, Audi and Jaguar Land Rover have embarked on their autonomous vehicle projects and Apple is the latest company to jump on the bandwagon. The company secured a permit for testing its Apple Car or autonomous vehicles in California. That said, Apple got permit in April from California Department of Motor Vehicles to test three self-driving vehicles. In fact, soon after Apple started testing its autonomous system, spied images of the vehicles surfaced on the inter-web, suggesting total of six models undergoing test runs. While the company officials have not revealed concrete details about the vehicles, they have confirmed working on an autonomous system for self-driving cars.
