All New Volvo XC90 Revealed; India Launch This Year
The 2019 Volvo XC90 features a kinetic energy recovery braking system with the combustion engine.
The Swedish luxury carmaker has revealed the updated version of its flagship SUV – Volvo XC90. The facelifted model lineup receives new range-topping B variants along with 6-seat configuration and minor cosmetic and feature upgrades. The new 2019 Volvo XC90 will also continue to come with the existing T8 Twin engine plug-in hybrid electrified powertrain option. On the outside, the facelifed model features a new grille, newly-designed alloy wheels and new colour schemes. Interior too has been witnessed subtle changes.

Unlike the existing model that has an Apple CarPlay supporting infotainment system, the new 2019 Volvo XC90 is also compatible to Android Auto. The flagship SUV is now available with six-seat configuration along with five-seat and seven-seat layout. The company also offers an optional ‘wood blend’ interior material for personalisation. With respect to safety, the new 2019 Volvo XC90 offers steering on both the city safety and the blind spot information system, oncoming lane mitigation system and cross traffic alert technology with autobrake.
Production of the new 2019 Volvo XC90 will take place at the company’s Torslanda plant in Sweden. Globally, the SUV’s updated version will see a release in May, 2019. Its India launch will happen by the end of this year. There is no clarity whether the new B variants will come to India or not.
