Mahindra Bolero 2020

To be based on all-new platform, the next-gen Mahindra Bolero to have better structural integrity.

We informed you earlier that Mahindra will launch the new-generation models of its existing range by 2020. The first model to go on sale is the next-gen Thar, which is expected to be launched in late 2019. What’s more interesting is that the next-gen Mahindra Bolero is also in the works. Besides these two, Mahindra will also launch the next-gen Scorpio and XUV500 in 2020. Also See – All-New Mahindra Scorpio To XUV500 – 4 Mahindra SUVs To Get New-gen Models

The current Mahindra Bolero will not meet the upcoming crash test norms and will require a better structure to continue sale. The company is going to add ABS and dual front airbags in the existing model to keep sales till the next-gen model arrives. The next-gen Bolero is most likely to share the platform with the upcoming Thar. It will have better structural integrity and safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors as standard.

The current Bolero is popular in semi-urban and rural India, and people loved its off-road abilities and tough looks. Expect the next-gen model to carry forward the same strong boxy design. The cabin is expected to see maximum changes in the form of new dashboard, air conditioning unit and better seats. The new Bolero could be longer than the outgoing model, which will help Mahindra to create more space inside. In order to meet the upcoming stricter emission norms, Mahindra will add a BSVI compliant diesel engine in the next Bolero.
