All-New Land Rover Defender Coming On September 10
British luxury SUV maker, Land Rover has officially announced that the new generation Defender will make global debut on September 10, during the press day of the Frankfurt Motor Show. What’s more interesting is that Land Rover has also listed the new-gen Defender on the Indian website. This suggests that the company could soon launch the new Land Rover Defender in India.
It is expected that the new generation Land Rover Defender will be based on the new platform. It will also adorn the brand’s new design philosophy. Going by the spy images, it is visible that the new SUV will feature modern design with less rugged profile. The cabin will have retro-modern styling.
It was reported that the next Land Rover Defender will come in 3 versions – 90, 110 and 130 – and the latter is expected to offer seat up to 8 adults. The 110 will be the first variant will go on sale in the international markets and will be offered in multiple seating options including 5, 6 and 7-seats. It is expected that the new generation Land Rover Defender will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The vehicle could also receive a hybrid powertrain on a later stage.
