Hyundai India is all set to launch the all new i20 ‘Elite’ hatchback in India on Aug 11, 2014 and, the tremendous response that its first official sketches are receiving globally, has made the company chuffed to bits. Although, the premium hatch has been captured on several occasions totally uncamouflaged but this time the clear images of the car’s interiors have emerged. [Hyundai Elite i20 bookings open]
First of all, while talking about the dashboard; it can be noticed that the beige shade which was on the lower half in current i20 is now on upper half. Although, the dashboard remains dual-tone but the beige treatment is provided to the upper half as compared to the ongoing model’s lower half. There is an all new instrument cluster and going by the images, it seems to be the top-of-the-trim Asta variant. Also, there is a significant change in the position of the power window controls as in the current model, they are positioned on door-armrest but with the new nut, it has been lifted a bit upwards to provide much needed convenience. The air vents are also adjusted a bit, making them much higher. Moreover, going by the spy images, it appears to be an all new climate control air conditioner. The redesigned steering wheel now boasts a lot more controls and there is also an Engine Start/Stop button on the dash near the music system. [Clear Pictures of new Hyundai i20]
As far as exterior changes are concerned, the front fascia is an all new one and a lot of Western (European) touch is visible here; almost resembling Peugeot cars. Hence, the South-Korean auto major has incorporated a lot of European styling both inside and outside in order to make it a completely premium wagon; high on luxury and imperious on appearance.
