All-New Hyundai Creta Spotted For The First Time

The next-gen Hyundai Creta is expected to arrive in the second half of 2020.

Korean automaker, Hyundai is working on the next-generation versions of its existing range which includes i20, i10 and Creta. In fact, all-new Hyundai Grand i10 has already been spotted testing multiple times on Indian roads and foreign soil. Now, the testing of the next-gen Hyundai Creta has also been started. The first set of spy images of the all-new Creta in Beijing, where it is called ix25.

The spy images reveal that the next-gen Hyundai Creta features the brand’s new design language that we have already seen on the new Kona SUV. The Creta has been one of the best-selling SUV for the Korean brand in the domestic market. In fact, it is one of the best-selling models in the Indian market. However, this segment will soon receive several new competitors in the form of Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks.

Next-gen Hyundai Creta Spied

Chinese media reports that the next Creta will arrive in August 2019; however, the launch is likely in 2020. For Indian market, the next-gen Creta is most likely to be launched in the second half of 2020. The heavily camouflaged images haven’t revealed much about the styling, but it is visible that the model gets sharper design in-line with Hyundai’s new range of SUVs.

The all-new Hyundai Creta gets signature cascading grille, split headlamps with eyebrow-like lights on top and wider front bumper with new fog lamp assembly. The rear looks more compact than the existing model. The interior spy image reveals beige upholstery for seats and door trim. Chrome treatment can be seen on the surfaces to give a premium feel. The next-gen Hyundai Creta is expected to arrive in 2 seat layouts – 5- and 7-seat for the Indian market. The SUV will ride on the modified version of existing platform, which will soon underpin the upcoming Kia SP based SUV. The new models will be powered by newly developed BSVI compliant petrol and diesel engines.
