The long-awaited new generation Hyundai Creta SUV made its global debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. Unofficial bookings of the second generation Creta have also been commenced at select dealership at a token amount of Rs 25000. The new generation Hyundai Creta will be launched in the Indian market on January 17, 2020.

Based on all-new platform, the new Hyundai Creta comes with all-new styling, revised interior and new BS6 compliant engine setup. In terms of styling, the new model looks similar to the Chinese-spec second generation ix25 that was launched in 2019. The SUV gets more rounded front profile with flashy design elements including the large signature cascading grille with chrome treatment, sculpted bonnet and aggressive bumper.

2020 Hyundai Creta Mileage

It comes with split LED headlamp set-up with LED daytime running lights on the top and an LED strip on lower side. The SUV gets newly designed fog lamps and bumper integrated scuff plate. The side design is all-new, featuring squared-out wheel arches with 17-inch diamond cut alloys and silver finish on the top extending on to the C-pillar. At the rear, the 2020 Hyundai Creta sports split LED headlamps with an applique linking its lights, silver scuff plates, roof-integrated spoiler and low-set license plate.

The company hasn’t released the interior of the new generation Hyundai Creta. It is likely to get a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, BlueLink connected car technology and a panoramic sunroof. It will also receive wireless charger, cooled seats, multi-functional steering wheel, automatic climate control, etcc. The SUV rides on 20mm long wheelbase, and the length of the car has been raised by 30mm. The increase in dimensions will help the company to offer improved cabin space.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta will share the mechanics with the Kia Seltos. It will be offered with 3 engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be on offer.

The new model is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh – Rs 16 lakh. It will directly rival the likes of the Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and others in its category.
