All-New Ford EcoSport First Pictures Leaked
We reported earlier that Ford has started working on the third generation EcoSport compact SUV. The first images of the next-gen Ford EcoSport have been leaked on the Internet. The SUV is expected to be launched in the Brazilian market in 2021.
The next-gen Ford EcoSport, codenamed BX755 will be based on the modified version of the existing platform. The same platform is also expected to be used for the India-spec model. Going by the images, it is visible that the new EcoSport comes with radical design changes. The SUV gets a large hexagonal grille, flanked by twin-pod LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.
The dual-tone front bumper accommodates wider air-dam, chrome inserts around the fog lamps, black plastic cladding all around the body and sculpted bonnet. The side profile looks sporty, thanks to the newly designed sloping roofline, chromed-window line, dual-tone ORVMs, and machined alloys. At the back, the third generation Ford EcoSport features wraparound LED tail-lights. There is a black wide strip placed right between the tail-lights. The black trim piece comes with EcoSport lettering. It gets dual-tone bumper with silver faux skid plate and integrated reflectors.
The next-gen Ford EcoSport is expected to grow in size and is likely to offer more interior space and improved luggage carrying capacity. The SUV is likely to receive a larger touchscreen with Sync4 infotainment system, a digital instrument console and others. The Brazilian-spec model is likely to receive a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 135bhp of power.
