The TVS Apache RR 310S will launch in India early next year, reports in media suggest. Earlier called Akula 310, the bike was expected to launch during the last fiscal, however it is now likely to come before March 2018. The patent images of the design surfaced recently, giving inkling of the styling of the production version. One of the highly anticipated bikes from TVS, Apache RR 310S will be the most powerful motorcycle in the company’s range. The bike will be built on the same platform used in BMW’s naked streetfighter, G310R.
Power on the Apache RR 310S will come from the same engine used in the BMW G310R. The engine in question is the 313cc, single cylinder, DOHC unit linked to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of power, the liquid-cooled engine puts out 34hp of top power at 9,500rpm against 28Nm torque at 7,500rpm. It is expected that TVS could tweak the power delivery in tandem with the bike.

The suspension mechanism will include upside down forks at front and monoshock absorbers at rear. Besides sharing engine with G310R, TVS Apache RR 310 will also borrow alloy rims from the BMW bike, which will come wrapped around the Michelin tyres. Stopping power will be derived from petal disc brakes at front as well as rear and it could also get an optional ABS. As for the pricing, we expect the bike to be priced in the range of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.8 lakh.
