4. Ford Figo
First launched in 2010, Ford tasted success in India with Figo hatchback. With competition heating up in the segment, Ford gave it a comprehensive update, propelling the hatchback into a new generation. Sporting copious aesthetic updates and new engines, Figo is essentially an boot-less version of Aspire subcompact sedan. Mechanicals powering the carline include the 1.5 litre oil burner putting put 99bhp, the 1.2 litre petrol engine good for 87bhp and the 1.5 litre Ti-VCT mill churning out 111bhp.
For transmitting power it uses a five-speed manual gearbox along with an optional six-speed auto box. Stuffed with comfort goodies, Figo also offers an array of safety provisions. The ABS system on the carline is optional on the Ambiente variant, while all the trims above it get is as standard. While the Ambiente variant is priced at Rs 4.94 lakh, the fully loaded top-spec variant is retailed at Rs 7.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
