6 Upcoming Royal Enfield Motorcycles – Super Meteor, New Bullet

Royal Enfield has recently launched the Hunter 350, which is the brand’s smallest & most affordable in the country. The company is also preparing a wide range of new motorcycles in the range of 350cc to 650cc. In this article, we talk about the top 6 upcoming new Royal Enfield motorcycles in the country in the next 1-2 years –

New RE Bullet 350

Royal Enfield is preparing the next-gen Bullet 350, which has already been spotted testing in India. The new model will be based on the new Royal Enfield’s “J” platform that underpins the new Meteor 350, Hunter and the new Classic 350. It will be powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The motor will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle will retain the original styling with some modern features. It will come with the traditional telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The new motorcycle will get disc and drum brakes at the front and rear axles respectively. It will get a single-channel ABS as standard.

RE Super Meteor 650

Royal Enfield is preparing 3 new 650cc motorcycles including a cruiser motorcycle, which will be called the Super Meteor 650. In fact, the motorcycle in a production-ready avatar has already been spotted testing in multiple times on the Indian roads. The cruiser looks like a bigger Meteor 350, and it features twin exhaust, round indicators, USD front forks, glossy black bodywork, broad split seats and a transparent windscreen. It will be powered by a 648cc, parallel, twin-cylinder engine boosted with fuel injection technology. This engine produces 47PS and 52Nm of torque. The cruiser will have a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.

RE Shotgun 650

Royal Enfield had showcased the SG650 cruiser concept at the 2021 EICMA. The production version of the concept is rumoured to be called Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. It is reportedly to be unveiled at the 2022 EICMA in November this year. The production model will have aluminum & black colourway, round headlamp with integrated position lights, a single-seat, USD front forks and dual-channel ABS and disc brakes. It will share the same 650cc engine and gearbox combinations with the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650.

RE Classic 650

Not just cruiser and bobber, Royal Enfield is also developing a 650cc Classic motorcycle that has been spotted testing in India. The motorcycle will carry retro design elements such as a circular headlamp and teardrop shaped fuel tank. The spotted motorcycle has blacked-out black alloy wheels, split seats with removable pillion unit, twin exhaust pipes and an eccentrically mounted circular instrument dial.

The motorcycle has inverted telescopic front fork and disc brakes at the front and rear axles. It is also likely to get a 649cc twin motor with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine pushes out a claimed power of 47PS and 52Nm of torque. It is the same engine that powers the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.

RE Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield is working on the next gen Himalayan, which will come with a new 450cc engine. In fact, the company has released the teaser of the new motorcycle. The teaser reveals that the new RE Himalayan 450 will feature a round LED headlamp and tall windshield. It gets new fuel tank, front beak, side panels and new exhaust unit. The motorcycle will get step-up split seats, and comfortable riding posture. It will come with a new 450cc engine that is likely to produce around 40bhp and 45Nm of torque. It’s more powerful and torqueier than the Himalayan 400cc. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed gearbox instead of the existing 5-speed unit.

RE Scram 450

Royal Enfield is also preparing a compact and scrambler-styled version of the Himalayan 450. The motorcycle comes with smaller, 17-inch alloy wheels, tucked headlight, braceless fuel tank, single seat design and a missing tail rack. The new RE Scram 450 has been spotted testing and test mule has a conventional telescopic front fork and monoshock at the rear. It is expected to be powered by a 450cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is likely to produce around 40PS and 45Nm of torque.
