6 New Bikes and Scooters Launching In April 2021

In the two-wheeler segment, there will be 6 new/updated models which are ready to hit roads this month (April 2021). Here’s a brief on the upcoming new bikes/scooters.

1. Updated TVS Apache RR 310

The Chennai-based bikemaker has confirmed that it will roll out the updated version of the Apache RR 310 in April 2021. Its prices are likely to be announced on 7th April. Ahead of its official arrival, the company released a teaser picture that suggests the model might get a newly-designed headlamp. A few more updates will also be made. The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 is likely to come with the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that’s good for 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm of torque.

2. Triumph Trident 660

Triumph Trident 660 has been scheduled to launch on 6th April 2021. The bike will be brought via CKD unit and is estimated to cost below Rs 7 lakh. If launched at this price point, it will be the most affordable Triumph motorcycle in the country. Powering the Trident 660 will be a 660cc, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled inline engine featuring 67 new components. It makes a top power of 80bhp and 64Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed gearbox. The company will also offer a range of accessories with the bike.

3. New Suzuki Hayabusa

The new Suzuki Hayabusa is surely one of the much-awaited upcoming new bikes in the country. Claimed to be the “quickest Hayabusa ever”, the model features a 1340cc, 4-cylinder engine with new, lighter pistons, updated fuel injections and new connecting rods. It makes 190bhp and 150Nm and comes with a 6-speed gearbox with two-way quick shifter and an autoblipper. While the twin-spar aluminum frame retains intact, it gets lighter by 2kgs. The bike has several new advanced technologies and goodies to offer.

4. New KTM RC 390

The 2021 KTM RC 390 has started arriving at dealerships ahead of its market launch. However, the official launch date and details are yet be revealed. Painted in glossy black colour scheme, the bike looks quite refreshing than the existing model. Some of its key updates include new single piece LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs and side turn indicators, revised front faring, fuel tank and rider ergonomics, new split seat and pillion grab rail, larger single-disc brake and more. It will continue to use the same 373cc, engine-cylinder engine.

5. Ducati Diavel, XDiavel

The Italian superbike maker, Ducati unveiled the 2021 XDiavel range of motorcycle in November last year. The model lineup received a couple of new variants along with a few mechanical and feature upgrades. For power, the bike uses 1262cc engine with DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing). The motor pushes out a peak power of 158bhp with 127Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed gearbox with slip assist clutch and a Ride-By-Wire system. Similar to the global model, the India-spec version is likely to be offered in three trims – Dark, S and Blck Star.

6. Aprilia SXR 125

Piaggio India is all set to launch the SXR 125 scooter in April 2021. The company recently commenced its official bookings at a token sum of Rs 5,000. Some of its design bits are borrowed from the Aprilia SXR 160 including a long under seat panel, a wide front apron and a tall visior. The scooter will be made available in four colour schemes. It will source power from a BS6-ready 125cc, single –cylinder engine, shared with the Aprilia SR 125.
