50 New Cars to be Unveiled at Auto Expo 2020 – Report
The Indian auto industry is going through an unprecedented slowdown with sales dipped as much as 16 per cent in the past 9 months. A new media report claims that auto industry is banking on the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, which is scheduled to commence from February 6 to revive the market. The report further claims that the upcoming motor show will see the unveiling of around 50 new products.
Several new auto brands are also making their debut at the 2020 Motor Show. Chinese automakers including Great Wall Motors, FAW Haima and SAIC Motor Corporation will showcase their products at the event. Adding to it, brands like Volkswagen, Skoda and Force Motors will make a return at the Asia’s largest market.
Along with that, more than 15 startups will also showcase their technology products focused on green mobility and services connected to the automobile industry. All the models to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 will be compatible with BSVI emission norms. Several new passenger cars with electric and hybrid powertrain will also be unveiled at the biennial event.
Speaking on the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, Rajan Wadhera, President, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers’ (SIAM), said, “There is huge interest about the Indian automotive market and the Auto Expo will further revive it. Most big brands and segment leaders are part of the show. Besides, we have half-a-dozen new exhibitors that would be a great crowd puller for The Motor Show 2020.”
