Ford C-SUV

Ford has joined hands with Mahindra to develop new products, platforms, powertrains, technologies and platforms for India as well as global markets. The first model under the new JV will be a 5-seater premium C-SUV, which will be sold under Ford. Likely to make debut in 2020, the new C-SUV will be based on the next-gen Mahindra XUV500. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that will also power the XUV500.

Citroen C5 Aircross

PSA Groupe has officially announced to enter India with the Citroen brand. The first model to be launched in our market is the Citroen C5 Aircross. Scheduled to be introduced in 2020, the new SUV will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and the upcoming VW T-ROC. It will be offered in petrol and diesel fuel options.

Volkswagen T-ROC

German carmaker, Volkswagen is planning to launch the T-ROC SUV in India in 2019. This will be the brand’s first model to avail the benefits of importing up to 2,500 units without local homologation. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine paired to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed Dual-clutch transmission.

Honda HR-V

Japanese automaker, Honda will finally launch the much-awaited HR-V SUV in India in the next few months. It will be imported as a CKD unit and will be assembled at the company’s Noida based plant. The new model will be available with 2 engine options – a 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.

Skoda Karoq

Czech automaker, Skoda has officially announced to launch the Karoq 5-seater premium SUV in India in 2020. The new model is based on the VW Group’s MQB platform, which also underpins the Skoda Kodiaq and the Volkswagen Tiguan. It will be powered by a BSVI compliant 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. The company could also introduce the petrol version of the SUV.
