5 Things To Know About The New Jaguar I-Pace Electric SUV

We informed you earlier that Jaguar Land Rover will enter into electric vehicle space in India. The company will soon introduce the I-Pace pure electric SUV, as the first unit of the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) has recently been landed in India at JNPT near Mumbai. The all-electric performance SUV was imported for extensive testing and validation across the country. The Jaguar I-Pace imported in India is finished in stunning Firenze Red paint. It is the top-spec HSE variant, which is loaded with high-end features.

0-100kmph in 4.8 seconds

It is equipped with a 90kWh lithium-ion battery, and two synchronous permanent magnet electric motors at the front as well as rear axle. The powertrain offers a power output of 394bhp and a peak torque of 396Nm. It comes with an AWD system.

The Jaguar I-Pace accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in just 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 200kmph.

The electric cars will only be successful until the charging infrastructure is equivalent to the regular fuel stations. Adding to it, the charging time should have been low considering the population of India. Jaguar I-Pace comes with a large battery that offers an impressive range of 480kms. Jaguar also claims that features like HVAC and heated seats will only consume about 1 percent of the power away from the battery.

Rapid Charge

It takes around 45 minutes to charge battery from 0 to 80% using a 100kW rapid charger. The battery tackes 10 hour to fully charge using a 7kW AC wall box.

Jaguar has already started taking pre-bookings for the new Jaguar I-Pace battery electric vehicle. The electric car is expected to be launched by March 2021; however, JLR is yet to make an official announcement on the launch timeline.

Service & Warranty

Jaguar has officially announced that it will offer a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance, along with the standard 8-year or 1,60,000km battery warranty.
