New Tata NexonÂ
Tata Motors has started testing the new Nexon compact SUV, which is reportedly to be launched in our market in 2023-24. The new model will receive significant design changes and an upgraded interior along with a new powertrain. The spy images reveal that the SUV will share styling cues from the Curvv SUV Coupe. In fact, the front design will be largely identical to the bigger sibling. Inside the cabin, the SUV will have a new dashboard look, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new instrument console and others. It will be powered by a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that produces 125PS and 225Nm of torque. The diesel version will continue to offer the existing 110bhp, 1.5L turbo engine.
Hyundai Creta facelift
Hyundai will give a major makeover to the Creta SUV in 2024. The new model will receive India-specific changes along with a new Tucson-inspired front. The new Hyundai Creta will also receive changes inside the cabin. It is likely to source the dashboard layout and features with the new-gen Verna. Moreover, the SUV will be offered with 3 engine options – a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel.
Kia Seltos Facelift
Kia will launch the new Seltos facelift in the country before the end of this year. The new model will receive design changes in-line with global models including the new Sportage and Telluride. In fact, the Seltos facelift is already on sale in select international markets. The SUV will have a new grille and headlamps with angular signatures, LED DRLs extending into the grille, new air dam, and faux aluminium skid plate. The SUV will also receive the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite offering features such as autonomous emergency braking, blind spot collision warning, lane departure warning and steering assist, etc. The SUV will be offered with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that produces 160bhp and 260Nm of torque.
Tata Safari/Harrier Facelift
Tata Motors is preparing to introduce new Safari and Harrier SUVs in the country in 2024. The new SUVs will share styling cues from the Harrier EV, which debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. In terms of styling changes, the SUVs will have new front grille, new headlamps and LED DRLs, more prominent bumper and others. The spy images reveal that the new models will have new blacked-out, twin five-spoke alloy wheels, revised bumper and slimmer connected LED tail-lights. Both SUVs will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver display, powered driver’s seat with memory function, and powered co-driver seat.
The new Safari and Harrier will also receive ADAS features including forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, high beam assist, blind spot detection, lane change alert and more. Both SUVs will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0L turbo diesel engine and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
