5 New SUV Launches In September 2022 – Grand Vitara To XUV400

Here’s a list of top 5 new cars to be launched in the Indian market in September 2022 –

1. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

Japanese automaker, Toyota had revealed the much-awaited Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV in the country in July 2022. The prices of the SUV was scheduled to be released on August 16; that didn’t happen. It is expected that Toyota will launch the Hyryder SUV in the country in September 2022. In fact, deliveries for the new model will also commence in September 2022. Interested buyers can book the new Hyryder SUV online or at authorised Toyota dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000.

Production of the new SUV has already been commenced at Toyota’s Bidadi based plant in Karnataka. It is based on Suzuki’s Global-C platform, which also underpins the Grand Vitara and the Brezza. The SUV will be offered with two engine options – a 102bhp, 1.5L K15C dual-jet petrol with mild hybrid tech and a 1.5L TNGA Atkinson cycle engine with a strong hybrid system. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor and Toyota’s e-drive system (Strong Hybrid Only).

Maruti Suzuki will reveal the prices of the much-awaited Grand Vitara SUV in September 2022. The SUV can be booked online or at authorised NEXA dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. It is based on Suzuki’s Global-C platform that underpins the new S-Cross in the global markets. Production of the SUV will commence from August at Toyota’s production facility in Bidadi, Karnataka.

The new Maruti Grand Vitara is available in 6 trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+ and Alpha+. The Zeta+ and the Alpha+ are offered with a strong hybrid powertrain, while the other 4 are available with Suzuki’s mild hybrid powertrain. In terms of features, the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, a 360 degree camera, wireless phone charging, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, automatic AC, 6 airbags, TPMS, ESP, hill hold assist, hill hold descent, etc. The SUV will be offered with two engine options – a 1.5L K15C Dualjet petrol with smart hybrid system and a 1.5L TNGA Atkinson cycle engine coupled to a 177.6 lithium-ion battery.

3. Mahindra XUV400

The homegrown SUV maker, Mahindra will launch the much-awaited XUV400 electric SUV on September 6, 2022. It is essentially the electric version of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. While the ICE version measures 3995mm in length, the electric XUV400 will be around 4.2 meters long and have more boot space to offer. The Mahindra XUV400 will use the high-energy-dense NMC battery sourced from LG Chem. The NMC batteries will ensure more power and a longer range. The new Mahindra electric SUV is likely to deliver a range of over 400km on a full charge. It is likely to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Adreno X connected car AI technology. The electric SUV could also get the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).

4. Hyundai Venue N-Line

Hyundai had launched the updated Venue SUV in the country in June 2022. The company is now ready to launch the sportier looking Venue N-Line on September 6, 2022. The new model will come with sportier design and all-black interior along with tweaked suspension set-up and exhaust system. It will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 118bhp and 178Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).

5. 2023 Audi Q3

The new Audi Q3 SUV is scheduled to be launched in the country in September 2022. Interested buyers can book the new Q3 SUV online or at authorised Audi dealership by paying an initial sum of Rs 2 lakh. The company has announced that the new model will come with a standard warranty of 5 years and the first 500 booking will additionally get a 3 year/50,000km service package.

The 2023 Audi Q3 will come in two trims – Premium Plus and Technology trims. It will be powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. It will come with the ‘Quattro’ AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The engine produces 190bhp and 320Nm of maximum torque. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 100kmph acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
