Royal Enfield Concept KX

Royal Enfield is one of the fastest growing two-wheeler brands. The brand has huge following as the sales had crossed 8.20 lakh units last fiscal. RE is aiming to sell 9.5 lakh motorcycles in the current fiscal year. It seems quite difficult as the auto industry is going through tough times in India. However, Royal Enfield is developing a range of new motorcycles for the Indian market. Here we bring you a list of top upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycles set to be launched in the Indian market in the next 1-2 years –

2020 Royal Enfield Classic

The company has started testing the 2020 Royal Enfield Classic motorcycle range. The new model will receive the new BSVI compliant engine, which will be fitted with a fuel injected system. The outgoing Classic 350 uses a 346cc, single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox, while the Classic 350 has FI 499cc engine. It is expected to feature a newly developed OHC engine to offer better refinement levels. The spy images reveal that the disc brakes are shifted to the right side of the bike, while the engine is pushed to the left. Other changes include restyled  rear end, bigger footrests and wider seat.

2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird X

Royal Enfield had launched the Thunderbird X in February 2018. The company has already started working on the new model, which has already been spotted in India. The spy images reveal that the new model looks more cruiser friendly, featuring new swingarm and lowered seat. It will be powered by BSVI compliant engine and will be offered in both 350cc and 500cc variants.

2020 Royal Enfield Bullet

The Bullet needs no introduction as it has been the longest serving motorcycle in India. The company will update the Bullet range and will get the same BSVI compliant 350cc and 500cc engines. The new model could receive the rear disc brake, which is missing in the current model.

2020 Royal Enfield Meteor

Royal Enfield has patented the name Meteor for the European market. It is expected that the company will use this name for the production version of the KX concept, which was showcased first at the 2018 EICMA. The KX concept is powered by a brand-new 838cc V-twin engine. The motorcycle features a ride-by-wire system. The exact launch timeline of the motorcycle is yet to be announced, but it is rumoured to be launched in the first half of 2020.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 650

Royal Enfield is working on a more powerful version of the Himalayan adventure motorcycle. It will be powered by a 648cc parallel-twin engine that also powers the Continental GT and the Interceptor 650. This engine produces 47bhp of power and 52Nm of torque. However, RE will tune this powertrain to meet the needs of an adventure motorcycle.
