The long-awaited new-gen Maruti Wagon R 2019 is all set to go on sale in the country on January 23. In fact, Maruti Suzuki has started dispatching the new model to dealership. The clear images exterior and interior images of the new model have already hit the internet. The tall-boy hatchback retains the tall-boy styling, but it looks completely different from the existing model.
It was speculated that the new-gen Wagon R will be based on the Suzuki’s new-generation HEARTECT platform. – Multi-functional Steering Wheel
The hatchback also gets a multi-functional steering wheel with controls for audio and Bluetooth telephony.
– Powerful 1.2-litre Petrol Engine
Maruti Suzuki will introduce a new ZXi+ variant to the Wagon R lineup. This new top-end model will be equipped with a bigger 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that currently powers the Swift and Ignis. It is capable of producing 82bhp of power and 115Nm of torque.
– New Safety Net
Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor, seat belt reminder, speed warning and others will be offered as standard safety features.
– 12V Phone Charging Socket
The new model also gets a 12V phone charging socket, which should improve the practicality of the cabin.
