Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is surely one of the big new car launches of this year. The SUV model lineup comes in 10 variants and 6 trims, which are priced from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Shashank Srivastava, Senior ED, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki, has revealed that the hybrid variants of the SUV command 40% (or 24,000 units) of the total bookings. The company has received over 60,000 bookings for the new Grand Vitara SUV till date.
The Indo-Japanese automaker dispatched 4,800 units of the Grand Vitara in its debut month (i.e. September, 2022). Its deliveries have been commenced from 26th September. The Maruti Grand Vitara comes with the 103bhp, 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid engine that can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The AWD system is offered with the top-end mild hybrid manual variant only.
The mild hybrid Grand Vitara is claimed to deliver fuel efficiency of 21.11kmpl for the manual version, 20.58kmpl for the automatic variant and 19.38kmpl for the manual AWD variant. Toyota’s 92bhp, 1.5L, 3-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an electric motor (79bhp/141Nm) is also on offer. Its combined power output stands at 115bhp. Features such as black leatherette seats, leatherette steering wheel, ventilated front seats, puddle lamps, upgraded sound system, tyre pressure monitoring system and a 360 degree camera are reserved for the top-end Alpha+ trim. Some of its other key features include all-black interior with gold accents, a panoramic sunroof, a 7.0-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, ambient door lighting, dashboard ambient lighting, Head-up display, wireless charger, hill descent control and more.
