4 New Tata Cars Ready For Launch – All Details Here

Tata Motors has four new models in the pipeline that are ready to hit roads in the coming months. The plan outlines Tata Gravitas 6/7-seater SUV, turbo-petrol version of the Altroz premium hatchback, Harrier petrol and HBX concept based mini SUV. While the first three models will arrive before the end of 2020, the mini SUV will come early next year. Here’s the brief about the upcoming 4 new Tata cars.

1. Tata Gravitas

The carmaker has confirmed that the Gravitas SUV will arrive during 2020 festive season. The model will be offered with both 6 and 7-seats layout to take on the MG Hector Plus that’s due for July, 2020. The Tata Gravitas is essentially the bigger and premium version of the Harrier. Most of the design bits and features along with the platform and engine setup will be carried over from the 5-seater Harrier. Though, the bigger SUV has received a few noticeable changes including an additional third row seats, auto hold, electronic handbrake and disc brakes.

2. Tata Altroz Turbo-Petrol

The Tata Altroz, which was launched early this year, will soon receive a new turbo-petrol variant in the country. Its official launch date and details are yet to be announced. Though, it’s reported to see a release in coming months. The turbo-petrol version of the premium hatchback will come with a 1.2L turbocharged motor that’s good enough for 99bhp and 141Nm. It can be had either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic transmission. At present, the Altroz is available with a 85bhp, 1.2L NA petrol and a 89bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel engine options.

3. Tata Harrier Petrol

The carmaker aims to further expand the Tata Harrier SUV lineup with a new turbo petrol variant. The new model will receive a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that will produce power around 150bhp. This fuel injected motor is essentially the 4-cylinder version of the 1.0L Revotron turbo engine that does duty in the Nexon. Initially, it’s likely to be offered with manual gearbox. The petrol automatic might come later with paddle shifters and a ‘Sport’ mode. The Tata Harrier petrol is reported to launch before 2020 festive season.

4. Tata HBX Mini SUV

The production version of the Tata HBX concept based mini SUV will arrive by the end of this year or early next year. Featuring Tata’s new Impact 2.0 Design language, the micro SUV will be the second Tata product to underpin the Alfa modular platform. The vehicle is likely to be offered with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine making a peak power of 85bhp against 110Nm of torque. The carmaker might also use a new 100bhp, 1.2L petrol engine for the HBX mini SUV. It will come with manual and AMT gearbox options.
