4 New Cars Coming Next Week – 3 SUVs, 1 Luxury Sedan

The second week of April 2021 will be action-packed for the Indian automobile industry. There will be three new SUV unveilings and one luxury sedan launch. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new SUVs and cars, which are scheduled to see a release next week.

1. Hyundai Alcazar

The South Korean carmaker is all set to unveil the Alcazar three-row SUV on 6th April. Its launch might happen a few days after its unveiling or in the month of May. Based on the Creta, the new Hyundai SUV will come with both 6 and 7-seats configurations and take on the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus. The SUV might be offered with 1.5L diesel and 1.4L turbo petrol engine options.

2. Citroen C5 Aircross

Citroen C5 Aircross will be the first offering from the French carmaker in the country. The premium SUV is slated to launch on 7th April. It will come in two variants (Feel and Shine) and is estimated to cost around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). For power, the C5 Aircross has a 2.0L diesel motor that’s good for 177bhp and 400Nm. The oil burner is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

3. Kia Sonet 7-Seater

According to a latest report, Kia Motor will unveil the 7-seater version of the Sonet SUV on 8th April. While the model will first see a release in the Indonesian market, there is no word on its India launch. The report further states that the Kia Sonet 7-seater will remain unchanged dimensionally. That means, the additional third row of seats will be congested for adult passengers. Kia’s new three-row SUV will share its powertrains with the 5-seater version.

4. BMW 6 Series GT Facelift

BMW India will announce prices of the updated 6 Series GT (Gran Turismo) facelift on 8th April. The luxury sedan, which made its world debut last year, comes with improved styling and more features. Some of the major updates include wider front grille, sharper headlamps and taillamps, revised bumpers and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Engine setup, however, will be carried forward from the current model.
