4 Hero Models Get Connected Feature; Priced at Rs 4,999

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the ‘Hero Connect’ application in its four models – Passion XPRO, HF Deluxe, XPulse 200 and Plesure+. It’s a cloud-based connectivity solution, which has been made available at an introductory price of Rs 4,999 (inclusive of taxes) at select dealerships in Delhi, Noida and Pune. It will come with a one-year subscription. Hero Connect will also be offered across more models and in other cities, but in a phased manner. The two-wheeler maker says that Hero Connect will enhance “riding experience of the customers”. This cloud-based application offers multiple security and safety features such as live tracking, topple alerts, tow away alert, geo fence alert, speed alert and more. It also provides driving insights based on the rider’s behavioural patterns by accessing a detailed log of the trip and reports.

Hero’s new connectivity solution has Telematics Hardware with a built-in SIM fitted in the vehicle. Using the cellular network, the application provides a gateway for communication between the application and device. Commenting on the launch, Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Following the XPulse 200, the first motorcycle to offer connectivity through mobile phone to riders, Hero Connect offers the next level of connectivity. With this new cloud-enabled service we aim to enhance the riding experience of our customers, at the same time making their overall experience safer and smarter.”
