Tata Nexon Design Review

Tata Motors has started testing the updated Nexon compact SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in early 2020. The new model is likely to be introduced at the Auto Expo 2020 in February. Apart from the Nexon facelift, Tata will also give mid-life facelift to Tiago and Tigor. The compact SUV will receive significant design changes and upgraded interior along with mechanical upgrades. Here we bring you a list of top 4 big changes expected in the upcoming 2020 Tata Nexon facelift –

IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN Philosophy

The design of the Nexon facelift will be based on the Tata Motors’ new IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN language, which we have already seen on the Tata Harrier. It will receive new bonnet, new bumpers, revised fog lamp housing, a slimmer grille similar to the Harrier and new headlamp setup with daytime running lights. Adding to it, the company will also make some changes to make it compliant with the upcoming pedestrian protection norms. Other changes are likely to include new alloy wheels and revised tail-light.

Sunroof & Rain sensing Wipers

The Tata Nexon facelift currently misses out on sunroof and rain sensing wipers. However, the sunroof is available as an optional accessory. It is expected that the Nexon facelift will come with a factory-fitted sunroof option. Adding to it, the updated model will get rain sensing wipers.

Bigger Touchscreen, New steering

The updated model will receive a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The touch unit will offer better interface. Adding to it, the SUV will get newly styled steering wheel with mounted cruise control buttons. It could also receive Bosch-sourced all-digital instrument console. Continue reading…

BSVI engines

The Tata Nexon facelift will be powered by BSVI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. While the former is good for 108bhp and 170Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 108bhp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT unit.
