The coming three weeks will be exciting for the automobile enthusiasts as 4 major new car launches and unveilings have been planned in different segments. Mahindra & Mahindra will introduce the TUV300 facelift with the new Bolero Neo nameplate on 15th July 2021, followed by unveiling of the all-new XUV700 premium 7-seater SUV. While Mercedes-Benz will bring in its two new AMG models, Audi will launch its first-ever electric SUV in India. Here’s a brief on the upcoming 4 big new car launches and unveilings.
Mahindra Bolero Neo
Prices of the 2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo are scheduled to be announced on coming 15th. The model lineup will be spread across three trims (N4, N8 and N10), packed with the BS6-compliant 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel engine. The oil burner will deliver a claimed power of 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be on offer. A few changes will be made to its exterior and interior.
Mercedes-AMG E53 and E63 S
The performance-oriented Mercedes-AMG E 53 and AMG E 63 S are ready to hit Indian roads on 15th July 2021. Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG E 53 houses a 3.0L, 6-cylinder twin turbo petrol engine coupled to a 48V mild hybrid system. The powertrain setup is good enough for 423bhp and 520Nm of torque. The Mercedes-AMG E 63 S derives its power from a 4.0L twin turbo V8 motor that generates a massive power of 604bhp against 840Nm of torque. Both models get a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Audi e-tron
Audi e-tron will be the first-ever electric SUV from the German carmaker in India. Slated to launch on 22nd July, it will be offered in two body styles – SUV and Sportback – powered by a 95kWh lithium-ion battery pack and two electric motors. The electric setup offers a top power of 355bhp and 561Nm of torque. In S mode, it can be further boosted to 402bhp and 664Nm for 8 seconds. The new Audi electric car promises a maximum range of 359km-484km on a full charge (WLTP cycle).
Mahindra XUV700
The home-grown carmaker might unveil the much-awaited Mahindra XUV700 premium 7-seater SUV in its production avatar towards the end of July 2021. Its launch is likely to happen on Independence day (15th August 2021). Mahindra’s new three-row SUV will come with the 2.2L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel and 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engines making power worth 185bhp and 200bhp respectively. This will make the XUV700 the most powerful SUV in its category. It will also be packed with several segment first features including the auto booster headlamps, personalized safety alert system and more.
